Michael is Practice Leader – Executive Leadership Coaching at Harbour Future Leaders. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Applied Economics and Marketing (B.Com) from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. He is an experienced executive coach, and is accredited in the evaluation of both Hogan Personality Inventory and Hogan Development Survey, and in the PRISM Work Preference Inventory on Individual Style and Motivation.
Michael has over 30 years of work experience covering administration and accounting management, project management and consulting in large multinational corporations, including 11 years working as a consultant to a number of corporations in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, India, Japan and Indonesia.
Mr. Holmes provides consulting and project management expertise in behavioural assessment and feedback for leadership development across the Asia-Pacific region.
Michael has provided consulting to companies in a broad cross-section of industries, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, automotive manufacturing, telecommunications, chemicals, textile/clothing/footwear manufacturing, and retail. He has worked extensively at senior management level in the areas of leadership development, designing and implementing executive assessment and feedback systems, and in defining success profiles for individual roles and for whole organisations.

Working in China predominantly over the past two years and across North and South-East Asia since 2001, Michael has provided strong support in growth businesses and the development of high potential leadership skills. His strong coaching skills have also contributed significantly to the building of capability in local management teams in these countries. In 2007 Michael assisted Eaton in developing strategic leadership capability with Managers in India.
He has made many presentations including to the German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, the annual HR conference of Siam Cement in Bangkok, and as recruitment and selection “ambassador” for Prudential Life Insurance in 12 countries across the Asian region.
In addition, he has published a series of articles on leadership development in a local Chinese business magazine entitled “Staffer”.
